I have read all of her books and enjoy her writing style. Book 4 is a deep disappointment. The ending bring and unsatisfying without much consideration. I love the quest about restoring Velka and her origin. Ms. Cansvab should have Stuck to this storypath instead of trying to address All the problems of our Society.

For those of you who might not have availed yourselves of the previous books, the basic story arc centers on Tyen Ironsmelter and Rielle Lazuli. Two individuals from different worlds who discover they have a natural propensity for magic. The trouble is, such talents are either frowned on, or discouraged

I was waiting for this book for sooo long and I was so happy to finally get it. It was everything I could have hoped for in the final instalment. I found myself hesitant to read it at times because I did and didn't want to know how it would end, dreading what would change, who might not make it to the end, and so on. Yet it was a gripping read and once I started I found it hard to stop. The one thing I have noticed as the series has gone on is that Tyen has had less and less of a prominent role

I definitely felt that this book was a good finish for the series, tied up a few loose ends and was fast paced throughout compelling me to read and read. However I did think the end came quick and was lacking a few details. Maybe I am greedy, but a few more chapters for the final act would have fleshed things out a little more and left me feeling more satisfied. It was still a good read and a good finish of yet another great book series from Trudi. Cannot wait for the adventures of Tyan and R

I love Trudy Canavans books. They draw you in from the start and keep you there till the end. Looking forward to her next book.
